Can I submit a foreign national residency request during the state of emergency? What happens if my appointment for formalising my request for asylum was scheduled for after 14 March? And if I have a foreign national residency report issued by the Government of Catalonia Catalan currently being processed, does it expire?

There are many questions that need to be answered during the current state-of-emergency situation due to the health crisis caused by the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus. This is why, the Guidance and Accompaniment Service for Immigrants (SOAPI)., in collaboration with the Intercultural Translation and Mediation Service, has published a series of documents as FAQs dealing with the main changes made to immigration-related procedures and formalities during the exceptional situation we are currently experiencing

SOAPI is a Barcelona City Council service specialised in receiving and supporting immigrants. It offers information, guidance, support and advice on knowing the environment, registration in the municipal register, obtaining a healthcare card, learning languages, foreign national residency procedures, rights and duties, the associations movement, leisure and culture, and other issues.
